Blackburn Center offers a number of educational and training programs for the Westmoreland County community. The following programs are available to local schools and organizations free of charge:

  • Student Awareness Programs in Westmoreland County schools, preschool through 12th grade, and area colleges. Both single and multiple-session programs are available. Information regarding these programs is available for download on our School Programs page.

  • Community Education Programs, including speakers for organizations and community groups.  Any organization interested in learning more about the issues of domestic violence, sexual assault and other types of crime and violence can schedule a speaker. Topic and length of program are tailored to fit the group's request.

  • In-Service Trainings for police, medical personnel, teachers, counselors, social workers, and other professionals on the issues of domestic violence, sexual assault, and sexual harassment. These programs equip participants with the skills to provide a victim-centered response to survivors/victims of domestic and sexual violence, and are tailored to fit the group's request. This also includes our sexual harassment trainings, Creating Safe and Thriving Workplaces.  Click here to learn more about our sexual harassment training program.
